HOUSTON – This Saturday marks the start of a long-term construction closure on the Katy Freeway, said the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Starting at 6 a.m. Nov. 3 crews will close one inside mainlane on the freeway westbound from TC Jester to Washington. The lane won’t reopen until Dec. 15.
TXDoT says the closure is needed so crews can construct a sign column between the east and westbound lanes.
Crews will also close two inside mainlanes on the eastbound side this Saturday only from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
