HOUSTON – Roadway construction over the weekend will force the closure of both the eastbound and westbound lanes of the North Loop / 610 Loop between Interstate 10 and Highway 59.
Texas Department of Transportation officials said starting Saturday at 5 a.m., the westbound lanes of the North Loop will be totally closed between Interstate 10 and Highway 59.
All traffic will be detoured to Interstate 10 during the closure. Drivers wanting to get on the North Loop will have to take Interstate 10 West to Highway 59 North, then back to the North Loop. The westbound lanes will open back up at 9 p.m.
On Sunday beginning at 5 a.m., the same closure will affect the eastbound lanes until 9 p.m. All eastbound traffic will be detoured via Highway 59 northbound or southbound. Those wanting to get on the East Loop can take Highway 59 southbound to Interstate 10 East back to the East Loop.
