SUGAR LAND, Texas -- The City of Sugar Land is operating a weekend shuttle through the City’s major retail district, every weekend from Nov. 25 through Jan. 1.

The shuttle will originate from Mercer Stadium, 16403 Lexington Blvd., and run a route that includes:
• Mercer Stadium;
• First Colony Mall;
• the Market at Town Center; and
• Sugar Land Town Square.

The shuttle runs Friday at noon and ends one hour after First Colony Mall closes. On Saturdays and Sundays, service will begin a half hour before the mall opens and run an hour past closing. For just $1, you get an all-day pass. The pilot program is intended to increase shopping access in the Town Center area through the utilization of parking at Mercer Stadium.

It’s all part of Sugar Land’s first-ever Comprehensive mobility plan.. "We are excited to launch this pilot program to improve the convenience of holiday shopping and enhance connectivity in one of our primary retail centers," said Director of Transportation and Long-Range Planning Patrick Walsh. "Riders will have the opportunity to provide their feedback through an online survey."

The pilot program is a partnership with The Houston Wave, a shuttle service provider with experience in the Houston region.
