HOUSTON -- If you are planning to drive this weekend, be prepared for dozens of road closures around town for the Chevron Houston Marathon.  The marathon takes place on Sunday, but some barricades are already in place.

Runners, be sure to arrive at the George R. Brown Convention Center before 6 AM.  Houston Police will begin closing streets in and around downtown at that time.

Drivers, keep in mind there could be heavy traffic downtown, near the Galleria, Montrose, Memorial Park, and West University.  This could affect your plans to drive to church services on Sunday morning.

For an overview of the race route, road closures, and best places to watch the race, please watch the video.
