Beat the Traffic: Driving around Hermann Park can be a "zoo"

Spring Break is here, and that means more zoo traffic.  Each year, during Spring Break (March 12 to March 21, this year) the Houston Zoo experiences high attendance, averaging 8,000 or more guests each day.  More guests means more demand for parking in Hermann Park.

If you are considering a trip to the Houston Zoo, you can save money and a big hassle by using METRO.  The Zoo is urging visitors to take advantage of METRO's bus system or METRORail to Hermann Park.  If you do, you'll save some money, too.  If you show your METRO fare ticket at the gate, you can get $1 off adult admission price.  If you must drive, zoo representatives encourage you to carpool and park at the Memorial Hermann Medical Plaza garage.
