HOUSTON—If you are driving around Galveston, watch out for construction and delays on Holiday Drive. Starting Monday morning, demolition begins on Holiday Drive. The east side will be shut down between Harborside Drive and Albacore Avenue.
Crews are installing a new waterline to Pelican Island. Two traffic lanes will be open during the project, and detours are set up to help drivers get to businesses there. Construction is expected to last about 8 weeks.
