HOUSTON -- PAWS Houston hosted its annual wine dinner Tuesday night at Hotel ZaZa. Partygoers enjoyed live music, shopping at the silent auction and a delicious dinner.
KHOU 11 News reporters Courtney Zubowski and Katherine Whaley attended the event.
PAWS Houston is a non-profit that helps sustain the relationship between terminally or chronically ill people and their pets. The organization will take a patient's own pet to visit them while they are hospitalized in the Texas Medical Center and other hospitals in the Houston area. PAWS partners with Methodist, Memorial Hermann, Texas Children's, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, St. Luke's and several other hospitals.
Volunteers from PAWS Houston will also help patients with vet visits, walks, baths and foster care when needed.
