HOUSTON -- A newborn fawn was rescued from the Grimes County wildfire Monday.
The rescuers named her Bambi. She's believed to be about 2 weeks old.
Houston SPCA workers are now caring for the fawn and several other animals rescued from the path of the fire.
Bambi is stabilized and being monitored by SPCA veterinarians, according to Houston SPCA spokesperson Meera Nandlal.
