HOUSTON – Interfaith Ministries is holding a pet food drive for Houston’s aniMeals on Wheels program this weekend.

The program was started four years ago so seniors in the Meals on Wheels program would not feel like they had to share their limited food and resources with their pets.

AniMeals on Wheels is completely volunteer- and donation-driven. They deliver more than 6,500 pounds of dog and cat food to more than 400 seniors and 900 pets every month.

If you’d like to donate, you can drop off unopened dog and cat food (wet or dry) at Interfaith Ministries or one of their partner locations on Friday, March 25 or Saturday, March 26.

Donations will be accepted from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday at Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston, located at 3217 Montrose.

Morningstar Mini-Storage will accept donations from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at the following locations:

5854 San Felipe Street

802 East Richey Road

5825 Barker Cypress Road

No Paws Left Behind, located at 1625 Park Ten Place, Suite 105, in Houston will accept donations from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
