GALVESTON, Texas – The Texas Marine Mammal Stranding Network (TMMSN) is asking for the publics help in their race for a $250,000 Pepsi grant for Dolphin Rescue and Rehabilitation by voting online each day in October.

The organization said because the grant money will go to the project with the most votes collected at the end of October, they need votes from as many people as possible to continue saving marine mammals on the Texas coast.

"With the state of the Gulf of Mexico, these animals are going to need our help now more than ever and these funds will enable us to respond to the call. This will go a long way towards our advancement and ability to rescue and rehabilitate stranded dolphins," TMMSN said in a statement Friday.
