MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas—The Montgomery County Animal Shelter is trying to become a no-kill facility, but they need the public’s help.
There are more than 60 dogs and cats at the shelter that have been there over 60 days – in some cases as long as six months.
The animals are being offered for adoption at reduced fees of $25 and come fully vaccinated, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. The normal adoption fee is $75.
In a bid to get these pets loving homes, the shelter is hosting a special event, Hot Dogs for Hot Dawgs, on July 24 at the shelter, located at 8535 Texas 242, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
