Since its inception in 2001, Tour for Life, in partnership with Purina, has placed thousands of homeless animals with loving families while promoting the importance of adopting shelter dogs, cats, puppies and kittens as a life-saving measure. Tour for Life travels 20 cities “from the Golden Gate to the Empire State” to spotlight animal shelters as the best place to adopt and to make the public aware that shelter dogs and cats are wonderful lifetime companions. Tour for Life comes to 16 states, works with more than 100 animal organizations and logs more than 25,000 miles. This year, the Animal League is excited to welcome back our Tour for Life 2008 spokesperson, internationally known, respected and loved singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, philanthropist and Animal League adopter and friend, Mýa.
