The Humane Society of the United States, the nation's largest animal protection organization, and Petplan, America’s top-rated pet insurance provider, are teaming up for the 2010 Take Your Dog to Work Day. The two organizations are publicly asking business to consider programs permitting employees to bring dogs in the workplace.
On Friday, June 25, workers across America will bring their canine companions to the office. A dogs at work policy can increase productivity, boost morale, and strengthen the bond between people and their pets. This annual event encourages companies—large and small—to become a dog-friendly workplace.
Since 2007, The HSUS has made every day Take Your Dog to Work Day with its dog-friendly policy. Check out these photos of just a few of the beloved pooches who join HSUS employees at work.
Bringing your dog to work will not only make your dog happy, but it could also increase dog adoptions nationwide. Research has shown that one of the main reasons people decide not to adopt pets is because they work too often.
