The Houston SPCA and the Houston Airport System are joining forces once again to host the annual Mutt Strut & Runway Race sponsored by VCA Animal Hospitals and Hills Science Diet. This extraordinary, life-saving event takes place Saturday, March 6th on the runways of George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Last year, close to 2,000 Houstonians and their 1,500 four legged friends strutted their stuff! All of the proceeds from the event will benefit the animals of the Houston SPCA.
“The Houston Airport System is helping us make miracles come true everyday with their kind and generous support of the annual Mutt Strut and Runway Race. This one-of-a-kind event helps give Houston's homeless, abused and neglected animals a second chance at life and we are proud of our partnership with the Houston Airport System," says Patricia Mercer, President of the Houston SPCA.
The Mutt Strut & Runway Race has become extremely popular with people all over the Houston metropolitan area. "We are very proud of the fact that people are supporting a great cause but are also involved and interested in the development of this airport, which is a vital asset," says Eric Potts, interim director of the Houston Airport System.
