Register with Audubon to volunteer 

A local organization and afiliate of the Houston SPCA, Wildlife Rehab & Education, with 26 years experience in wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and Hazmat training, has over 200 volunteers standing by for deployment.  J. Jill Heatley, DVM, MS, Dipl ABVP (Avian), Dipl ACZM, Clinical Associate Professor, Zoological Medicine College of Veterinary Medicine, Texas A&M University will also join the team for deployment.   Follow their updates at http://wrande.org

The Galveston Bay Foundation also remains on standby to provide volunteer help in the case of any local impacts from the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
