Fall has arrived with a chill in the air, and the Houston SPCA invites you to “Fall In Love” at the first ever Fall Friendzy.

To warm your heart during the month of October (it is also Adopt-A-Shelter-Dog Month!), the Houston SPCA is lowering the normal adoption fee for all beautiful black dogs and all orange and black cats who are 6 months and older to half-off the normal adoption price.  Now is the purrfect time to fall in love with your furever friend at the Fall Friendzy.  There’s Nick, the tuxedo kitten who is dressed for any occasion and Pierce, the Labrador Retriever mix who is the ideal companion for your early morning workouts.  The options are endless when choosing your new friend from the Houston SPCA.

Thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at the Houston SPCA, here is what your furry friend will receive as a part of their stellar adoption package:

• A health evaluation; initial vaccinations; rabies vaccinations for felines / canines three months and older

• Spay / neuter surgery

• Deworming; feline leukemia testing for cats; heartworm testing for canines 6 months and older

• Microchipping with free lifetime registration; and of course a friend for life!

• As an added bonus, VCA Animal Hospitals will provide a complimentary overall wellness examination (within five days after adoption) and complimentary 14-day follow-up care for certain conditions to give your pet the very best in is medical care.

• One free bag of dog / cat food courtesy of Hill’s Science Diet.

Your new furry friend comes loaded with lots of tricks and treats just in time to keep and you and your family entertained for the holidays. Remember, when you adopt from the Houston SPCA, you are saving a life and gaining a friend.
