Texas Litter Control and Benefit Betties is releasing their 2014 charity calendar benefitting spay and neuter in our community. The official launch party will be held from 6pm to 9pm Friday, November 15th at the Nouveau Antique Art Bar located at 2913 Main Street, Houston 77002.
The calendar is a unique public educational fund-raiser. Each month features a different aspect of animal welfare and rescue. The Benefit Betties pinup girls posed with rescued animals from different organizations. Featured rescues/businesses are the Homeless Pet Placement League, Forgotten Dogs of the Fifth Ward, All Breed Rescue, Bunny Buddies, OHTH.org, Clipped Ear Cat Sanctuary, Wags to Whiskers, Rummy’s Beach Club, the Buck’s Foundation, SMART Rescue, Purr Paws, and K9 Airlift. These groups were chosen because they have a unique angle for helping or caring for animals.
The calendars will be sold for $20 plus tax at the launch party, at the Texas Litter Control clinic, and online via the Texas Litter Control website. 100% of the funds raised through the sales of the calendar will benefit Texas Litter Control.
“Spay and neuter is so important. It touches all aspects of animal welfare, but most people do not realize how many aspects of animal welfare have their own focus,” explains Deana Sellens, Executive Director of Texas Litter Control. “The calendar really shows off everything from air transport for homeless pets to warm water therapy for injured and aging dogs. We have really enjoyed this experience and I hope that the community enjoys this unique calendar!”
Funds are raised for the organization through sponsors and calendar sales. These calendars would not be made possible without the generous sponsors: Harvest Moon Cosmetics, Jennings and Jennings LLC, Infinity Title, OHTH.org, Rummy’s Beach Club, SMART Rescue, Black Global Promotional Products Group, Camp Bow Wow, Weborization, and Bella Rush Photography.
