SNAP is thrilled to announce that its newest SNAP Spay-Neuter and Animal Wellness Clinic is now open. The new facility is located at 913 Shaw Ave. in Pasadena, Texas 77506 (one block north of state highway 225 and a block west of Pasadena Blvd.). The clinic offers reduced-cost spay-neuter surgery and wellness services for cats and dogs. Surgery is by appointment only. Appointments can be requested using the clinic’s online appointment request system. Wellness services include examinations, vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, flea and tick preventative, and microchipping. These services are provided on a walk-in (first-come, first-served) basis on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Pasadena clinic is open to the general public. No qualification is required to receive services.
The clinic provides an affordable solution for area residents who want to have their animals spayed or neutered but cannot afford to have the procedure done at a full-service veterinary clinic. Numerous shelters and rescue organizations in Pasadena and southeast Harris County have also pledged to use the facility to prepare animals for adoption.
The Pasadena clinic would not have been possible without the generous financial and logistical assistance of the city of Pasadena and PetSmart Charities. The success of the project also hinged on the efforts and support of the South East Harris County Alliance for Animals (SEHCAA), many other wonderful corporate and private donors, and the citizens of Pasadena and the surrounding areas. SNAP is grateful to everyone who contributed to make the new clinic a reality.
