It’s hard to believe with the scorching temperatures hitting the triple digits that the summer is actually coming to an end.  School will be in session soon, and what better way to celebrate than with a “Cat to School Special” at the Houston SPCA?  During the month of August, all cool felines 6 months and older will be just $10! These highly intelligent purr machines come in all sizes, shapes, colors and personality styles.  Some like to cuddle, while others do well with dogs, and some enjoy just being the teacher’s pet.  Approved adopters will have chance to browse our CATalog of “Mensa Meowers” who are ready to find a true love. Normal adoption fees for cats range anywhere from $45 to $75.  Our only goal is to make sure each and every animal in our care is placed in a permanent, loving home.

The Houston SPCA is committed to providing the best quality of preventative health care possible for every animal in our care.  The medical care our animals receive would cost over $300 at a private veterinary facility.  Although we are drastically reducing our feline adoption fees during the month of August, our quality of care remains the same. Here is what your new fabulous feline friend will receive as a part of his / her furtastic adoption package:

•A health evaluation, initial vaccinations and rabies vaccinations for felines three months and older.
•Spay / neuter surgery
•Microchipping with free lifetime registration
•A complimentary overall wellness examination (within five days after adoption) and complimentary 14-day follow-up care for certain conditions to give your pet the very best in medical care, provided by VCA Animal Hospitals.
•One free bag of cat food courtesy of Hill’s Science Diet
•And, of course, a friend for life!

Make sure to come by the Houston SPCA during the month of August and give a homeless animal a second chance at life.
