From Memorial Day through Independence Day on July 4, Rover Oaks Pet Resort is holding a month-long donation drive to support "War Dogs." The United States War Dogs Association (USWDA) is an organization of former and current military dog handlers and other individuals committed to promoting the long history of the military service dogs, establishing permanent War Dog Memorials, and educating the public about the invaluable service of these canines to our country.
During Operation: War Dogs!, Rover Oaks will donate $5.00 to the USWDA for every large bag of dog food, shed control service, Good Manners training class, puppy class, and daycare premium bath purchased at the Houston and Katy locations. Plus, Rover Oaks will decorate our facilities with patriotic paw prints presenting the names of our customers who contribute to USWDA. Donations are needed to provide an abundance of critically needed items including K9 medications, food, grooming tools, bedding and other necessities.
When Operation: War Dogs! nears its end, Rover Oaks will hold a special event on Saturday, July 2 to celebrate Independence Day and to celebrate everyone's contribution to the War Dog effort. The celebration will feature special activities including our "patriotic pup" contest (more information coming soon), free goodies from Natura Pet Products and Planet Dog, and lots of tasty food and refreshments for you and your fur-kids. So please put July 2 on your calendar today! Let's have fun with our doggies and take a moment to remember what is so special about Memorial Day and July 4 -- honoring those who serve and protect our country and freedom!
