Scout's Honor was formed in May 2006 by six volunteer rescuers who decided to pool their experience and love for animals to make a difference in Houston. Scout's Honor is often the last resort for animals abandoned to die in pounds or on the streets. Scout's Honor rescues animals from Houston and surrounding areas, including animals from BARC (the Houston city pound) and the City of La Porte animal shelter. Their program is not limited to healthy animals or to particular breeds, and they often save animals from abusive situations. Since the formation of Scout's Honor, they have rescued over 1250 animals, providing them permanent loving homes and a second chance. There are currently over 120 dogs and cats in their program awaiting adoption. You can make a difference in the lives of these animals. The work of Scout's Honor is supported solely by tax-deductible donations. Learn more about Scout's Honor.
