Tim Wetzel joined KHOU 11 News in April 2012. Prior to moving to Houston, he was a general assignment reporter at WTVF, the CBS affiliate in Nashville, Tennessee.
While in Music City, Tim developed a love of country music and all things fried. He also covered Nashville’s historic 2010 flood and the city’s remarkable recovery.
Before Tennessee, Tim worked at WFTV in Orlando and WINK in Fort Myers/Naples, Florida. He reported live during hurricanes Charley, Jeanne, Frances and Wilma. His storm reports were carried by CNN and The Weather Channel. He also covered the arrest of Casey Anthony and the Space Shuttle’s return to flight.
Tim got his start in television as an intern and production assistant at NBC News in Washington, D.C. He helped the network cover politics while he was a student at American University. Tim also interned for a member of Congress, a US Senator and at the White House.

I moved to Houston in April 2012.

Getting to meet new people and seeing events as they happen.

Freakonomics by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner
What are your favorite foods?
I like most foods but Steak, Barbeque and Italian are my favorites.
