Malini covered the "Craigslist Killer," 2011 New England Tornado outbreak and presidential visits to Rhode Island.

Malini has a B.A. in communications and minor in business from St. John's University. She is happy to be in Houston. Her extended family lives in the Fort Bend County area. She remembers visiting the beaches here when she was a kid.

Malini grew up in Queens, New York. She speaks fluent Bengali and has spent several summers in India where her parents grew up before they emigrated to New York.
