Vanilla Ice to perform at Texans home opener

HOUSTON -- The Texans Cheerleaders donned their liberty white uniforms and entertained the crowd as the Texans won their 2012 home opener 30-10 over the Miami Dolphins. The cheerleaders added red cowboy hats for a halftime performance with singer Billy Ray Cyrus.

HOUSTON – The Houston Texans are encouraging all Texans fans to wear white at this Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans.

The team will wear its all-white uniforms as they honor first responders.

Police officers and firefighters will unfurl a giant American flag as country superstar Clay Walker sings the National Anthem.

The Homefield Advantage Team Captains will be the heroes of the May 31 fire from Houston Fire Department Stations 51 and 68.

In keeping with the "Liberty White Out" theme, national recording artist, Vanilla Ice will perform at halftime of Sunday’s game.

The Texans are also asking all fans to be in their seats by 11:30 a.m. to view the unveiling of the AFC South Division Championship banner.

BHP Billiton will be handing out 50,000 clear bags at gates upon entry and the first 40,000 fans to enter will also receive a Reliant Power towel.
