HOUSTON – You don’t get a name like Orbit by being scared of heights. The Houston Astros mascot rappelled off the side of the 29-story Four Seasons Hotel in downtown as part of the Over the Edge fundraising event on Friday.

The event, which is meant to raise funds for the Tellepsen Family Downtown YMCA and its Partners Campaign, kicked off with Media Day on Friday including appearances from local personalities like KHOU 11 Sports Anchor Matt Musil.

The event continues on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., as 85 participants, who have raised close to $1,250 or more, will rope and rappel down the historic hotel building at 1300 Lamar St.

Those interested in making a donation should visit www.stayclassy.org/OverTheEdgeTellepsenYMCA.
