SANTA FE, Texas – A Sante Fe church has raised enough money to transport two injured missionaries from Niger, Africa back to the United States.

While in Niger, Stephanie Clawson and Ruby Sprayberry were involved in a bad crash that also killed one of their friends. They were in a hospital without reliable power or adequate pain medications.

The two women are with the Santa Fe Community Worship Center. The church had insurance, but it only covered part of the cost for an air ambulance so they asked for donations.

They reached the $75,000 goal Friday afternoon and the air ambulance flight has been booked and secured.

The two injured women will be back in the U.S. by Tuesday.
