HOUSTON -- Texans DE J.J. Watt has the most sought after number in team history: No. 99.
At 24 years old, 6-feet 5-inches and 295 pounds of pure power both on and off the field, J.J., has fans saluting him.
The defensive end is also well known for his down-to-earth personality and community good works, and all that gives him his signature ‘Mega Watt’ star power.
The team officially says #99 is the best selling Texans jersey of all time.
Watt said to fans, “I can’t thank them enough for spending their hard earned money on my jersey.”
When it comes to wearing the team's logo, some fans will go further than others.
Rudy pulled up his shirt showing us his completely tattooed back, complete with the Texans bull logo. He has another just below his knee, a couple of Oiler tattoos and a promise: if the Texans win the Superbowl, he’ll ink J.J. on top of his shaved head.
Why do fans love J.J.?
Rudy said, “Second year? What? He's leading the league in sacks. He's a beast!”
“I think if people expected good and not great from me, I'd be disappointed. You want people to expect great from you.”
He added, “If you want to be best, you have to do things that have never been done before.”
The Texans going to and winning the Super Bowl would qualify.
