HOUSTON— There’s a petition circulating to make Houston more pedestrian friendly by adding more walkways, like the kind in New York or Tokyo.

Some of the possible pathways include McKinney Road in downtown Houston between City Hall and Discovery Green; Rice Boulevard between Main Street and Kirby and Westheimer between Shepherd and Bagby.

The group is close to getting 300 signatures.
