HOUSTON—Metro is making some changes for the rail service during Memorial Day weekend.
Maintenance and construction of new light-rail lines will require a service interruption as well as closing Main Street between Prairie and Walker.
The rail will be shut down from the University of Houston downtown station to the downtown transit center located at 1900 Main from 8:30 p.m. Friday to 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Metro buses will provide transportation between the stations every ten minutes during normal service hours on those days.
The other parts of the rail will not be impacted.
