HOUSTON—Sometimes the best thing to do in a tough situation is to find the humor in it.
With that in mind, one Houston woman is hosting a night of comedy to raise money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
After her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer 11 years ago, Angie Choueifati and her family have been fighting a nonstop battle.
Choueifati wanted to do something out of the ordinary that would really make a difference, so she put together 'Laugh in the Face of Breast Cancer.'
Performers will include locals Matthew Broussard, Nia Debose, Chase Durousseau, Barrett Goldsmith, Danielle Gonzales and Dusti Rhodes.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online or at the door.
Choueifati is aiming to raise at least $1,000 through the event.
