HOUSTON—A historic Houston high school is getting a financial boost from Kroger.
Booker T Washington high school opened in Independence Heights back in 1893. Over the past few years the school has struggled with low enrollment and slumping scores.
Kroger donated $10,000 to the school on Wednesday. The money will go for creating new programs, including engineering and auto mechanic classes.
