HOUSTON – More than 300 people turned out for a special block party in the Third Ward on Saturday to celebrate the re-launching of KCOH AM Radio.
The station has served Houston’s Third Ward community for 60 years, and is known for being the place where African-American politicians, celebrities and sports stars stop by to be interviewed.
The radio station was recently bought by Houston native Rev. Jesse Dunn and given a new position on the dial, 1230 AM.
KHOU 11 News Anchor Sherry Williams was the emcee for Saturday’s event.
