HOUSTON -- Join "Great Day Houston" host Deborah Duncan and “The Queen of Jazz” Diane Schuur for a night of comedy and song on November 5 at Zilkha Hall Hobby Center.
“Deborah & Diane – Unplugged and on a Mission” - will take place at 7:30 p.m. This new fundraising event will feature Duncan’s debut as a stand-up comedienne and Shuur’s Grammy award-winning music.
The duo will also join the Richard Brown Orchestra for some musical numbers. One of Houston’s most philanthropic couples, Sue and Lester Smith, will serve as Masters of Ceremonies.
Diane Schuur inspires rave reviews across the globe as the new first lady of jazz. Known to personify the composer's intentions of the Great American Songbook Schuur swings with heartfelt intensity.

Proceeds from the event will benefit The Mission of Yahweh, a homeless shelter for women and children in Houston. Donations are also being accepted for this organization.
