HOUSTON -- A 1936 Chevy Master Deluxe in prime condition is rare, but even rarer is the southwest Houston woman behind the wheel of one.

Renee Clark is unique in the world of classic cars. She's one of the few African-American female vintage car owners.

"I do like to raise the awareness that we too own cars and this caliber as well,” says Renee. “Even though you don't see that many there are a few of us around."

Renee fell in love with the car as a child and bought it from her uncle as an adult. She now drives and shows it around Texas.

She estimates there are only 62 Chevy Master Deluxe vehicles like hers registered in the United States.

Renee hopes to soon acquire a 1966 Mustang next.
