HUFFMAN, Texas -- Gusty winds continued Wednesday morning, knocking over a tree and damaging a couple of vehicles for a charity for the disabled in Huffman.
Texas Adaptive Aquatics sent KHOU 11 News a couple of photos after a large tree fell over on its property overnight. The tree partially crushed a car and damaged the charity’s Jet Ski.
The charity provides “therapeutic water sports for disabled children and adults.”
President Roger Randall tells KHOU 11 News the organization uses the Jet Ski in the summer as a safety chase boat as the disabled ski behind a nearby boat. Randall said Sea Doo donated the ski to his organization years ago, and he fears it may be difficult to replace this time around.
The gusty winds were caused by a front that moved through late Tuesday. A red flag warning continues for southeast Texas until Wednesday evening.
