HOUSTON – The funeral for the manager who was shot at a west Houston car dealership on Friday is set for Friday.
Robert Kuentz, 30, passed away late Monday afternoon at Memorial Hermann Hospital.
Kuentz had been in critical condition since he was shot in the neck at Mac Haik Chevrolet in the 11700 block of the Katy Freeway Friday. The injury left him paralyzed.
Before he died, his family and friends had the opportunity to tell him how much they loved him, according to his obituary.
Kuentz was married and had a small child. In his obituary, his family said he loved fishing, hunting and all sports, including the Houston Texans.
Keith Edward Grimmett, 49, was charged with murder after Kuentz passed away. Grimmett, a Mac Haik salesman, was angry about a meeting the two had the day before, according to court documents.
He remains jailed without bond.
The visitation will be held Thursday at the Forest Park Funeral Home in The Woodlands from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The funeral will be held Friday at the WoodsEdge Community Church in Spring at 11 a.m.
