HOUSTON—Kristin Moore and her mom made an adorable discovery while they were out walking in north Houston Sunday. They sprung into action when they ran across a little guy in big trouble.

“Me and my mom were walking from feeding our horses and when I walked down the street I heard the dog crying,” Moore said.

Walking near Spears Road and Rushcreek Drive, they found a puppy down a man hole. But, they just couldn’t reach him.

“It had the brush and stuff on it, we couldn’t get to it, so we called the fire dept to come save the puppy,” she said.

Minutes later firefighters brought the puppy to safety and, after a little air and some water, the puppy found a new home.

“Yes we are going to keep him, we’re going to name him Super Bowl,” Moore said.
