An online tool called crowdfunding is aiming to help students at KIPP Houston High School learn physics.

Teachers at the school are using Pledgecents to collect donations from across the country to buy 40 TI-83 calculators.

”If we were to sell candy bars or fundraise through a car wash, or other types of fundraising, then we would miss an entire audience of people who live outside of southwest Houston that really want to help the kids,” said Jeff Soller, a physics/statistics teacher at KIPP.
