HOUSTON - Former Houston Astros pitcher and Hall of Fame candidate Roger Clemens fulfilled a Christmas wish for one Texas boy, who lost his father in a shooting near the Texas A&M campus in College Station earlier this fall.

Colby Bachmann, 15, got the chance to meet the pitching legend.

Texas A&M Aggie wide receiver Ryan Swope and the Brazos County Constables helped set up the meeting after learning this would be Colby’s first Christmas without his dad. Clemens is his favorite baseball player.

Clemens also lost his father at a young age.

“Like all of it didn’t really hit that I was going to be able to meet him until I walked through the door. Like I was all calm about it and now I’m really hyped up and all excited,” Colby said.

Clemens gave Colby a sketch of his dad, a T-shirt and a game ball from the World Series.
