HOUSTON – The City of Houston fixed a woman’s driveway in northeast Houston on Friday morning after KHOU 11 News aired a story about her driveway issue.

Rae McBride said she called the City of Houston about a month ago to report a leak at the end of her driveway on Wood Mist Drive. She said crews came right out to fix it.

But three weeks went by and they did not fill the huge hole they made on her property.

It has forced the 73-year-old into a new routine as she recovered from a recent replacement of both of her knees.

Morning crews arrived on her property Friday morning and poured the new concrete.

The Public Works spokesman admitted the department was behind on some projects because there are so many water main breaks.
