HOUSTON—Celebrity Chef Paula Deen is coming to Houston this weekend and it will be her first public appearance since facing a discrimination lawsuit.
Deen, and her two sons, will appear at the Metro Cooking and Entertaining show at Reliant on September 14 and 15.
The Food Network, and a lot of other companies, dumped Deen in the wake of the scandal, but organizers of the Houston event decided to press on.
VIP tickets offered fans an opportunity for a one-on-one photo opportunity and an autograph. Those tickets are already sold out, but some general-admission tickets are still available.
This will be the third year that Deen has come to Houston for the show.
Lawyers signed a deal on Aug. 23 to drop the discrimination and sexual harassment lawsuit against Deen.
