KHOU.com assumes that all advertising is legal and is not misleading or untruthful. KHOU.com is not responsible for any faulty goods or services advertised on this site, nor is it responsible for person-to-person communication. As with any transaction, BUYER and SELLER BEWARE.
Please be aware that there are scam artists out there who enjoy trying to take advantage of free services such as the one KHOU.com offers here. If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If somebody outside the country "accidentally" overpays and asks for a refund, this is a hallmark of a classic scam.
Please proof read your ads very carefully.
KHOU.com reserves the right to reject or remove any advertising we deem unsuitable.
If you do not agree to abide by the Free Classifieds Rules, you may not participate in the KHOU.com Free Classifieds.
Free Classifieds Rules:
1. KHOU.com's classifieds are intended for individuals and businesses buying, selling and trading goods and services, not personal correspondence. Please do not post ads for the following:
• Adult-oriented material
• Advice or admonishments
• Affidavits
• Alerts
• Announcements
• Calendar items or events (including classes and seminars)
• Calls for action
• Comments about other ads or posters
• Discussions
• Donation requests/solicitations
• Competing Web sites
• Endorsements
• File sharing / piracy
• Medical paraphernalia (syringes, insulin pumps, catheters, etc.)
• Monetary requests
• Notes that an item has sold
• Obituaries
• Other sites with free classifieds
• Personal ads
• Personal correspondence
• Personal opinions or expressions
• Prescription medication
• Replies to others ads or posters
• Rescue facilities
• Sold notices
• Tobacco
• Stories of personal experiences
• Warnings
• Web addresses or Web sites
* We only accept pet ads for the purpose of buying and selling a companion.
2. Use your real name. You may not post ads anonymously or under a false name or e-mail. You are solely responsible for any statements that are posted using your account.
3. Do not use obscene or offensive language. You may not post any ad that could be considered obscene, indecent, lewd, pornographic, violent, abusive, insulting, threatening, harassing or in violation of the law.
4. Do not post ads in categories that are not relevant to the item or service you are advertising.
5. Do not harvest or otherwise collect names, e-mail addresses or other identifying information from other participants.
KHOU-TV AND KHOU.com CANNOT REVIEW EVERY AD, VERIFY THE ACCURACY OF STATEMENTS MADE BY PARTICIPANTS OR DETERMINE WHETHER THE MATERIALS POSTED BY PARTICIPANTS VIOLATE THE RIGHTS OF OTHERS. ACCORDINGLY, YOU AGREE TO ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY AND LIABILITY FOR THE CONTENT OF YOUR POSTINGS. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY STATEMENTS OR MATERIALS POSTED ON THIS SITE.
We will, however, periodically monitor the site. Any ads that, in our sole judgment, appear to violate the Free Classifieds Rules may be deleted without notice. We reserve the right to remove any posting and limit or terminate access to anyone for any reason at any time.
