HOUSTON — The TSA security checkpoint and ticketing counter in Terminal B at Bush Airport will remain until further notice, airport officials said.
Officials cited staffing issues due to the partial government shutdown as the reason for the continued closure.
Flights scheduled to depart from Terminal B will operate as normal, officials said, and those passengers will be directed to ticket counters and TSA checkpoints at Terminals C and E. Flights set to arrive at Terminal B will also operate as normal.
It is unclear how many TSA workers called in sick, but these workers are among about 30,000 federal employees in Houston on furlough or working without pay.
