Big rig fire creates traffic headache in Waller County

An 18-wheeler on fire created big delays for those on the eastbound lanes of I-10 early Sunday.

BROOKSHIRE, Texas — All lanes of I-10 eastbound at Peach Ridge Road were shut down due to an 18-wheeler on fire in Waller County on Sunday morning.

The accident has since been cleared and traffic has resumed flowing normally.

The big rig caught fire after an accident around 6 a.m., creating nightmare traffic for several hours.

Details are still limited as to what happened or if anyone was injured, but traffic was backed up to the Brazos River at one point due to the accident.
