Texans sign guard Senio Kelemete

Minutes after former Texans starting quarterback Tom Savage signed with the New Orleans Saints, Houston returned the favor. The Texans have signed free agent guard Senio Kelemete, who spent the last four seasons east on I-10 in New Orleans.

Minutes after former Texans starting quarterback Tom Savage signed with the New Orleans Saints, Houston returned the favor. The Texans have signed free agent guard Senio Kelemete, who spent the last four seasons east on I-10 in New Orleans.

Kelemete has experience playing all over the offensive line, but his best positional fit is at right guard. The Texans could use an upgrade over Jeff Allen, and the 27-year-old Seattle native will get a chance to start.

He does have starting in his background. Kelemete started eight games last year and nine in 2016, where he got the nod at three different positions (LT, LG, C). He also has started at RG and RT. The Washington product was originally a fifth-round pick by the Arizona Cardinals
