MINNEAPOLIS – Texans cornerback Kareem Jackson and will not play against the Minnesota Vikings because of a hamstring injury.

Kevin Johnson will start in his place.

Jackson has been hopeful to be able to play this week and so was head coach Bill O’Brien saying early that they would try and “ramp him up to be ready to play.”

Johnson will be making his second start of the 2016 season after starting 10 games his rookie season. He has 10 combined tackles, a fumble recovery and a pass deflection on the year.

Other Texans inactives for the game include QB Brandon Weeden, WR Keith Mumphrey, RB Jonathan Grimes, OL Oday Aboushi, TE Stephen Anderson, DL Brandon Dunn.
