Houston Texans offensive tackle Duane Brown is taking a stand on Colin Kaepernick's kneeling during the national anthem.

In a weekend article on racial injustice for Sports Illustrated, the Texans player says he had no way of knowing in July when he penned his first article that Kaepernick would launch an anthem protest.

Brown, who has raised his fist during the anthem, plans to further the protest.

While the offensive tackle understands why people are upset about kneeling during the anthem, he feels it opens a door to discussing race issues, especially with law enforcement.
