MINNEAPOLIS – After what he called the toughest nine months of his professional career, Texans left tackle Duane Brown was back on the field Sunday.

It was a moment that was special in more ways than one.

“It felt great, it felt great,” Brown said after the game. “Being able to be with my guys in the locker room, pregame, everything just felt good. Not an ideal result, but it was good to be back.”

Brown got the start at left tackle and had the task of going up against talented Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen and did very well.

He didn’t play every snap but that was by design.

“Wanted to monitor my reps, a lot of guys have had the chance to play in the preseason, played four games before this point,” Brown said. “Just going out there to have 70 snaps wasn’t ideal. Trying to monitor my reps, I think I got a good amount on tape. It was a big test, big test to come back for.”

Brown added he came out of the game fine and is looking forward to bouncing back against the Colts.
