HOUSTON – We are now less than one month away from Super Bowl LI in Houston.

Companies from around the world are searching for ways to get in on the action.

That global attention has been translating into many unique opportunities for people all over H-Town.

Hundreds of Houstonians waited in line on Sunday at Dreamlite Productions Studio for a shining example of that.

The men from all over the Houston area were trying out for a commercial for DEVOUR frozen meals.

It’s set to air on Super Bowl Sunday.

“The reason we’re stopping here is because the Super Bowl is happening here. Houston wouldn’t normally be one of the places we would think about going,” said commercial director, Chris Applebaum.

Director Chris Applebaum said the Houston pit stop between castings in New York and Los Angeles has been eye opening and could open the door for future opportunities.

“Everyone in the crew is finding out that Houston is an amazing city with amazing people,” added Applebaum. "A note to other commercials or commercial directors or companies – Houston is the place to see.”

The contestants told KHOU 11 News that they were grateful to be getting the opportunity to try out, thanks to the upcoming Super Bowl.

“The buzz around Houston is so big with the Super Bowl coming to town, and it helps the city a lot,” said Blake Weir, a theatre teacher at Stafford High School who auditioned on Sunday.
