HOUSTON - Monday's home opener for the Houston Astros has fans and businesses getting ready for the big game Sunday night.

"It's going to be a party in Houston, for Houston, supporting a Houston team," H-TX Tavern general manager Ricardo Villegas said. "During the Super Bowl, it wasn't so big for us, but tomorrow, because we're a baseball centric bar, it's going to be an incredible time."

Villegas said he's expecting a crowd of around 1,000 fans on Monday.

At Academy Sports and Outdoors the orange and navy Astros swag is in full bloom throughout the store.

Fans getting their hands on some last minute 'Stro's gear said they're believing Monday will be the start to a winning season for the Astros.

Monday's opening day street fest begins in downtown Houston at 2 p.m. and ends at 6:30 p.m. The Astros game against the visiting Mariners starts at 7:10 p.m.
